Video Editing Software

While videos captured on webcams produce acceptable quality, additional editing work is often needed to make the videos more appealing. Below is a list of recommended video editing apps for both Mac and PC devices.


Windows

OpenShot Video Editor is an open source video editing software that enables you to create home movies and slide shows on your computer, complete with professional-looking titles, transitions, effects, music, and even narration.

OpenShot Video Editor is free, and is available for download at openshot.org.

 


Mac

iMovie

iMovie for Mac Logo

iMovie for Mac allows users to easily create 4k resolution videos. You can browse saved video clips readily, and edit them to your liking. Users can even start the editing process on an iPhone or iPad and finish on a Mac.

iMovie is free for as part of the Essentials Package on all Apple Devices, and should be located in the Applications folder on your computer. If iMovie is not downloaded on your computer navigate to the AppStore and download it.
